VEX robots
In the 2019-2020 school year, VEX robots were received for secondary school No. 16, secondary school No. 4 and secondary school No. 8 in accordance with the plan of the city department of education. These robots consist of metal particles - profiles and plates, plastic transmission elements - gears, axles and wheels and so on.
The reason for these robots is that the VEX Robotics international championship is developing rapidly around the world. 12 years ago, this championship began VEX. Now it has more than 50 countries. There are about a million teams. That is, for the first time, Kazakhstan was given the opportunity to enter the international level in 2018.
Also, at the republican level competitions, the VEX category of robots from this school year was introduced.
VEX is a very popular type of robot used in the USA and China. This is more recognizable than Lego. Currently, work with VEX in Kazakhstan is just beginning.
Realizing that this is a very good educational robotic platform, our schools began work this year.
These robots can do many things - for example, throw balloons at flagged flags, enter platforms, move within a given area and become robots in charge of other functions.
The students are of great interest. We hope that in 2020 our Balkhash students will be able to take part in competitions in the United States and take prizes ..
In general, the course will be very interesting.
